Interesting to read
We bought an apartment and renovated it to our taste. We thought it was cozy until we heard “like in prison”
The owners of this apartment decided to decorate the hallway in monochrome, that is, in one color. And the tone itself was extremely controversial – just for an amateur. Apparently, in this way they wanted to maintain the space in a single style. And if they like it, then everything is great, after all, they did it for themselves.
However, the commentators did not skimp on critical remarks – “kutuzka” and “paradka” were the most common words they wrote.
In this same space, they managed to place a wardrobe, which has enough storage space. Well, a mirror on the doors would not be superfluous in such a closed and small space.
A shoe rack was also installed nearby, and a stylish round ethnic frame was hung above it – an interesting design solution. The floor was laid with laminate under a standard wood shade.
There are only two rooms in this apartment – the parents’ bedroom and the children’s room. The heroes did not photograph the adult room from all angles, so we have to judge by the photo that was provided.
On the walls, they have a solid geometry of tones and shades of green close to each other. An interesting move, but whether it is suitable for a bedroom – again, there are only doubts. This pattern provokes activity, but does not give the peace that is necessary for rest in a room with a bed.
The headboard of the bed was made soft, fabric, a nightstand for various small things was placed next to it, behind it you can see part of the glossy windowsill with greenery and a photographic collage.
In the children’s room, they used lighter colors. One wall was decorated with a picture of photo wallpaper with a fabulous forest pattern and animals. They managed to choose a chandelier with a suitable thematic decor. It turned out quite magical, ideal for a little lover of miracles.
All the furniture for this children’s room, as well as the toys for it, were selected white, in general, they created an atmosphere of a winter forest, frost and cleanliness.
The kitchen also turned out snow-white with a non-trivial, rather originally designed set, and the dining area turned out to be quite spacious with an unusually shaped table and comfortable chairs. An interesting chandelier was located above – it carefully brought some color variety to the rather restrained range of this room.
The facades were made glossy – this looks both more expensive and more correct, since shiny furniture does not clutter the space, keeping it airy. In the design of the apron, geometry was again used, which in this case is just very appropriate. Plus, again, it dilutes the monochrome.
In general, the renovation turned out decent. Someone may like it, someone – not at all, but you can praise the owners of the apartment for the design, they tried and achieved good results. And it’s just bad manners to express yourself unflatteringly under photos of the renovation.
Yes, the entrance area is really not to everyone’s taste, but calling it a “prison” is just too much.
