Luxurious renovation of a two-room apartment of 72 m2. They refused a designer and planned everything themselves from pictures on the Internet
The owners chose light shades, since their goal was to give the space a visual expansion, to freshen it up, as if to fill it with additional air. The floor in the entrance area, that is, in the hallway, was finished with tiles. They also installed a wardrobe with a large full-length mirror and placed an ottoman next to it, on which you can comfortably put on shoes before leaving the house.
And they even placed a “cat house” – they arranged a place for their beloved pet.
The owners’ living room is also dominated by light colors, but they also added a blue tone. Otherwise, the gray-beige range looked boring.
They decided to simply deal with the floor – they laid it out with laminate, and added a cozy rug in the area next to the sofa. The sofa itself is also light, but its handles are dark, finished in a contrasting color. In front of it is a solid coffee table.
A decorative ledge was built behind the sofa, on which an unusual painting consisting of several separate parts was placed. Decorative pillows and curtains supported this color scheme.
The room also has a hanging outdoor chair – a very unusual solution for an apartment. On the opposite wall from the sofa, there is a compact wall unit and a TV.
The owners also built a decorative fireplace, which in principle is not a logical solution for a city home, but stylistically justifies itself.
The bedroom completely supports the living room in terms of color scheme. Mostly light colors, but here and there they are complemented by contrasting details.
A small dressing table with a mirror was provided by the window, and a humidifier was placed near it.
On the open area of the floor, next to the bed, another rug was laid out – for softness and comfort, and a TV was hung on the wall in front of the bed.
The decision with a TV in the bedroom is also controversial – someone needs it there, and someone is categorically against it.
Next to the entrance, we managed to fit a wardrobe and a bedside table.
The most beautiful room in this apartment was the kitchen. Both in terms of the combination of tones, and in terms of ergonomics, and in terms of technical equipment. However, even with such a rational approach to kitchen design, the owners did not manage to leave enough space for a worktop.
And even in the bathroom with a toilet, only light colors were used again, but each room received its own unique accent thanks to the play with tones and textures.
The bathtub was equipped not with a curtain, but with a glass partition, a cabinet was neatly fitted under the sink bowl, and a round mirror with chic lighting was hung above it. It looks great, although the functionality, which the cabinet is completely devoid of, is puzzling.
And in the toilet, they installed a small sink – a very correct decision, adds convenience. No need to touch the handles, move back to the bathtub, your hands will be clean immediately after visiting the toilet.
And everything turned out just gorgeous. The owners did not resort to the help of specialists in the form of decorators or designers, they thought everything out themselves and also implemented it themselves. They simply spent time studying design examples on the Internet and implemented their ideas.
